Over charging for amenities that do not work a Red Roof policy

Over the years I have stayed in many RRI’s had even joined the redyrewards program. While making my reservation I was told there was juzzcuie room available for about $15 dollars more. I took it but once I had checked in and decided to use it I discovered it wasn’t working. Next morning when I saw a member of housekeeping I reported that the juzzcuie would not work, the housekeeping lady called the maintenance man and informed him. He oh yeah it hasn’t worked in a long time. And that made me mad because I hadn’t been rented a room that had a working juzzcuie that quit. I had been charged extra for a juzzcuie that hasn’t worked in a long time. I felt sure RRI’s would make this right so I called the red roof reservation number and explained what occurred they said I would have to take this up with the front desk. I also inquired about extending my stay an additional night and was quoted a price of $71 dollars. I thanked the person hung up the phone and walked to the office. I again explained what had occurred the day before the clerk said that all swhe could do was give me a 15% discount if I extended my stay. I said ok and she then informed me that it would be $71 dollars with the discount. I was stunned because this was the price I had already been quoted without a discount. I expressed my displeasure but paid for another night anyway. I again called
RRI’S reservation number and rerported my dissatisfaction, they gave me a number for guest relations. After 3 or 4 more phone calls and a couple of emails I was refunded the differance in room cost and was informed that I was no longer welcome at RRI. And furthermore I received a email from Dave Orzechowski Franchise Operations Director which states and I quote “Occasionally we are unable to resolve a situation as a customer has requested. “ Dave went on to say this was one of those instances. Dave the resolution I requested was to insure that in the future other customers would not be charged for amenities that don’t work. And you were unable to agree with that. Well I will never be a red Roof customer again!!

Toilets nasty bed nasty floors nasty…

Toilets nasty bed nasty floors nasty pillows cases nasty windows seals nasty ice bucket filthy and bugs .I checked out at 6 thE next morning. I can go on and on. Smdh I will never stay again. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I wasted my money ugh. I also have videos and pictures. Wow

Poorly maintained room. No customer support

Dust was caked up on the bathroom fan.
Toilet seat was broken
Message light flashed and couldn't be shut off.
Tissue dispenser was empty.
Curtain didn't close.
No hot water.
It was Memorial day weekend, so instead of being $90, it was $265. I asked the specific hotel for $175 to bring it down to the regular price (even though it wasn't worth that). They declined. I emailed with corporate. They said there was nothing they could do. Really?
I wish I could post the pictures. It was gross.
I would say which specific hotel it was, but since corporate declined any help, it's a chain-wide thing.

Okay I'm not saying all Red roof inns…

Okay I'm not saying all Red roof inns are horrible but we were at the Red roof inn in Easton Pennsylvania the room was great it was clean not old and it was well kept but we had a problem with our payment we booked through Travelocity and it was a mess and we tried to straighten it out at the hotel they wouldn't even listen to us they just kept on saying we had to leave after one day the staff at the front end need to find new jobs they are horrible people we kept trying to explain to them what happened and they would not let us explain

Room was dirty and smelled horrible

Room was dirty and smelled horrible. No microwave, iron, coffee pot, mini fridge or blow dryer. Pillows were like cardboard and bed was very uncomfortable. Will NEVER stay in a red roof again. Quality over quantity. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.

Room was filthy, noone came in to clean at all
Inside lock broken in the room I stayed in and well as another guest had the same problem.
The MANAGER refused to fix the door and checked me out.
Front desk people EXTREMELY unprofessional, unclean, rude!!!!
I STRONGLY URGE YOU TO STEER CLEAR OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!!!

Garden City NY...I stayed at a Red roof…

Garden City NY...I stayed at a Red roof Inn+ in February 2021. The website stated that I could get a crib that I needed for my 3 month old. When we got to our room, we called downstairs for a crib and they nonchalantly responded “oh we don’t have any.” Had I known this I would not have booked the room. Customer service was horrible! They barely acknowledge you when you enter the hotel and are not friendly at all!!

I stay in Travelodge and my clothes was stolen from a thief at Redroof inn

Redroof gives anyone a room. Just last week someone from red roof inn came to Travelodge and stoled my laundry out of Travelodge laundry mat. It was the second time he was caught on Travelodge property stealing. Im having a horrible experience at Travelodge because of Redroof inn customer's. My name is Berine ill never stay at Redroof in due to thieves.

Worst hotel ever with security issues

I had the worst stay here in red roof Inn Jessup Maryland we booked it through priceline and for some reason since my ID was expired I had a document stating that the ID is still valid and can be used for a photo identification but they had horrible customer service and the front rude people both in the afternoon and evening give us a crappy room that smelled of cigarettes and the towels are bad either way we stayed with them a couple of times and the third timeThey said that we are no longer welcome there because I had given them a crappy one star review and owner read the survey which is supposed to be anonymous and blacklisted me from staying there ever again I contacted customer support on priceline and they could not do anything about it and also contacted corporate I have yet to receive a reply from them I would not recommend staying at this establishment ever

Do Not Stay with Red Roof -- Extremely Unsafe & Rude

I recently stayed at Hometowne Studio in Sharonville, Ohio (a Red Roof property). Unfortunately our experience was awful. The staff was rude. First we were given the wrong room and we had to switch. The accommodations are OK for the price but overall very shabby (I've stayed at way better motels for the same price). It seems as if, overall, they cut corners. And the worst part was we had to evacuate for a fire twice, once when there was an actual fire two doors down from us. We decided to check out for safety concerns BUT THEY WOULDN'T REFUND OUR TWO REMAINING NIGHTS. I couldn't believe that was the level of customer service -- not letting you cancel in the event of a fire. In fact, they were rude to me when I asked. I will never stay here or the Red Roof in general. It's a shame.
